A bedroom only a princess could dream of!

I recently stumbled across this article with the help of a good friend and instantly fell in love with the family's beautiful Balinese home. Its truly something out of a fairy tale. The girls spend their days rowing wooden canoes in the moat around their open air multi level thatched home adorned with trinkets from around the globe. The bedroom is something out of a story book with a round bed and beautifully coloured mosquito nets and a hanging bees wax cage chair that smells like honey that her dad designed. For more info check out the article and amazing photos here,

My first thought when I stumbled across this bedroom was that even tinker bell would be jealous. Having spent a lot of my childhood years growing up at my mums shop the "Fairies Cottage" I couldn't even imagine having a bedroom as magical as the one below. A little girls dream. Where would you hang yours?

Eagles Nest Outfitters once ran a competition where they asked you to send in a photo of the places you had hung your hammock. So while exploring Vanuatu I found sound perfect hammock spots too and will definitely update whenever I find more,

Thats so Vanuatu...

Back from the trip with a nice summer glow and way too many cocktails later. Vanuatu is defiantly a step behind other pacific islands in a nice 'how fiji was 40 years ago' type of way and definitely a beautiful place for Scuba divers, family's and honeymooners too. Having explored most of the resorts in and around Port Villa, holding sea turtles, snorkelling coral reef's and swimming under the Mele Cascades it was a whirlwind trip with my favourite photos below :)

How does one get ready for a tropical island in winter?

Two more sleeps and i'm ready to ditch the winter woolies and begin my first Famil to Vanuatu. Warmer weather and sunshine awaits as we kick off the winter boots and don the bikinis.... A whirlwind tour of hotels, sunsets, food, cocktails and island cruising for 4 days in the pacific paradise.
